McSweeney's Internet Tendency: A Review of the New Museum in My Neighborhood.

swiftasloss:

I took my brother to the Hirshorn museum while he was in DC.  They had a great exhibit on Josef Albers, who did a lot of work on the interaction and subjectivity of color.  Since I’m not an artist, my brother and the helpful intern had to explain it all to me.  It made me think of color in a different way, and I even went to the museum gift shop and bought Alber’s book, The Interaction of Color.

I also happened to read this spoof on the pretentiousness of museum goers about a week prior to our outing.  My brother laughed over it, saying, “Oh God, I actually DO sound like that when I talk about art.”  I’m glad he can laugh at himself.
